Moving to Canon
I have decided to buy a Canon Rebel XTI with 18-55mm II Lens. I also made sure I spend little more to buy a 4GB CF Card and 75-300mm III Lens. In the process, I also learnt Sony H9 is doing well. If you are looking at a bridge digital camera (somewhere in between normal digital and SLR), this should be a good pick. Please feel free to share your comments about my pick.

Nanganallur Traffic - Overtaking at its best
I was in my car trying to capture the traffic in Nanganallur (Vanuvampet Road). I could see some cool overtaking from our local heros (autos and two wheelers).  The best part was the vehicle coming in my opposite direction but my cam went out of charge. For people not in Nanganallur - here you go!

Nanganallur - Go! Go! Go!
Just thought I should go around Nanganallur to figure out if there is something interesting. I have not gone around this temple town for quite sometime because of hectic work schedule. Just made it today to go around the town to see if I can figure out a good restaurant for breakfast…Here are some pics.
I am not sure how many have tried this fast food joint in Nanganallur. I have been here many times for my breakfast. The food is quite good minus hygiene. I pointed it out to the owner once to wear a plastic glove for serving Iddli and other items but he pretended as if he has never seen a plastic glove. I just gave up at that point and stopped going to this place. With a little eye on hygiene, I am sure this restaurant can be a big hit in Nanganallur.

I felt the note “Itharku verayengum Kilaigal Ellai”  was too much for this fast food. How many of you are aware of this place? My local friends call it a joke. The owner compares his shop to something like “Murugan Iddli shop”. Anyway I woudn’t say its wrong but koncham over

I have seen this person in Nanganallur for more than 15 years. I remember this person and his road-side shop at least from my school days. He used to charge Re 1 for a glass of sugarcane juice and now (after 10years) its Rs 6. I nJoyed the juice this morning without the ice cubes.

Manual cable pulling still existing…

Time for breakfast - for my car and me…

This restaurant is pretty new to Nanganallur. This restaurant has replaced Maruthi Bavan but doing very good. I like the service and the tiffin.

This subway sucks for soo many reasons. Reasons 1) Poor maintenance 2) Night time safety 3) DRAINAGE water

My New Hobby
My visit to the US has made a slight difference in spending my free time. I managed to get a helicopter and flying that will be my new hobby. This heli has counter rotating blades so balance will not be a problem. I am planning to take this to a park this weekend to fly it. I am sure its going to be interesting flying it in a open space.

Pissed off with bank calls
Receiving calls in my mobile phone is getting very unpleasant nowadays. I receive at least two calls from some bank or the other anytime during the day… for credit card, Insurance, or loan offers. I then heard from my friend that there is a DONOTCALL page in most of the banks. Once you register, you can avoid those nagging calls from various banks. I guess it works!!!

Yoga - can it make a difference?

Two men meet on the street.
One asks the other: “Hi, how are you?”
The other one replies: “I’m fine, thanks.”
“And how’s your son? Is he still unemployed?”
“Yes, he is. But he is meditating now.”
“Meditating? What’s that?”
“I don’t know. But it’s better than sitting around and doing nothing!”
Just wanted to write a little bit about the exercise I am doing nowadays. I am not a yogi but just wanted to try the effects of yoga. I did learn few asanas from my friend (guru) and wanted to see if it makes any difference in me. Well, I wouldn’t says it has made a big difference in me within a week but its keeping me stress free and relaxed.
